Faith “Granny” I. Torkilsen, age 72 of Harrisville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at her home. She was born on September 14, 1937 in Racine, daughter of the late Walter and Irma Kotoff. Faith married Marvin L. Torkilsen on October 1, 1955 in Racine, he preceded her in death on November 13, 1997. She enjoyed making handmade crafts to sell at the Tinker Box in Harrisville which she owned with her daughter. Her favorite hobby was working on jig saw puzzles. Faith was a unique and kind lady that lived her life with a smile on her face, no matter the situation.
Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Torkilsen, Harrisville; five grandchildren, Wade (Ashley), Sara (Robert), Teria, Amanda and April; four great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Marvin and grandson, Christopher.
Faith’s wish was that there be no funeral service and her ashes be scattered in nature.
