Alvin Fritz

Alvin W. Fritz, age 91 of Westfield, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at Mill Pond Senior Living, Westfield. He was born on May 8, 1916, Township of New Chester, son of the late Walter and Leona (Roller) Fritz. Alvin married Priscilla King on September 13, 1941 in Lake Charles, LA. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WW II in the Pacific. Alvin worked as a mechanic at Schauer's Motors in Westfield for six years. He then owned and operated Fritz Roofing of Westfield for 22 years. Alvin was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Westfield, VFW Post #8718 of Westfield and Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #206, Fond du Lac.
Survivors include three daughters, Glenda (Earl) Bartz, Ripon, Brenda (Jerry) Warner, Toledo, OH and Yvonne (Bill) Christian, Wisconsin Rapids; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and one due this summer; two sisters, Irene (Kermit) O'Neil and Goldean Siefkes of Westfield; other relatives and many friends.
A funeral service for Alvin will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 3:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church, Westfield with Pastor Joe Adkins officiating. Interment will be in New Chester Cemetery, Township of New Chester, Adams County. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:30 PM until the hour of service at the church.
