Bernice Briese

Bernice Briese, age 75 of Township of Springfield, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2007 at her home. She was born on January 15, 1932, Township of Coloma, daughter of the late Edward and Martha (Rick) Wentland. Bernice married Herbert Briese on October 25, 1955 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Township of Springfield. She helped on the family farm along side her husband, Herb while they raised three daughters. Bernice enjoyed gardening, canning and fishing.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Herbert Briese; three daughters, Patricia (William) Meiller, Karen (Dale Robinson) Spurgeon and Paula (Gary) Potter, all of Township of Springfield; ten grandchildren; six great grandsons; one brother, Donald (Judy) Wentland, Coloma; two ex sons in law, Kurt Spurgeon and Don Marso Jr.
A funeral service for Bernice will be held on Friday, December 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Coloma with Rev. Kelli Fisher officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Township of Springfield. A visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
