Cari Lynn Ross-Wrzinski, age 66 of Montello, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 with family and friends present. She was born on June 10, 1959 in Chicago, IL to Robert and Donna (Meyers) Ross.
Cari was raised in the Chicago area and worked various jobs. She was a member of the Lioness Club and in 1993 joined the International Association of Lions Clubs. In 1994, Lake in the Hills village board made her Citizen of the Year. Cari would help anybody in need while raising three children and fostering many children over the years. Around 2005 she moved to Montello to take care of her parents and worked as a bartender. In 2010 she met her husband, Henry Wrzinski, the love of her life. On June 14, 2013 they were married and started their future making lifelong memories together. The last three years they worked hard adding on and remodeling their home with the help of their good neighbor. Cari loved to sew, tend to her garden, bonfires, her dog Angel, hanging with friends, playing dice, shooting pool and playing the one arm bandit. She was always full of life, laughter and endless love. She left a lifelong imprint on people’s lives.
Cari is survived by her husband, Henry; children, Joan (Greg) Delong, Michelle Thoms, Beau Wrzinski and Nichole (Andy) Jakubowski; grandchildren, Sarah, Ashley, Dylan, Falyn, Aleigha, Jaden, Lily, Bianca, Elenor, Adrian and Isaiah; great grandchildren, Ignacio and Emilio; siblings, Dawn Hagstrom, Kathy (Joe) Hagstrom, Kim (John) Caliendo; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, William Lucansky Jr. and brother-in-law, Paul Hagstrom.
Per Cari’s wishes there will not be a formal service. You are invited to come hang out and celebrate the life of Cari, a loving wife, mom, grandma and friend who meant the world to so many.
Cari had an open-door policy to family members, every stray and tired out soul that needed a little love and healing and that is exactly how we will be gathering…with open hearts on Saturday, June 13, 2026 starting at 2:00 p.m. at our home W5257 Elk Rd., Montello, WI. We will be sharing stories, laughs and all the little memories that made her Cari. This isn’t a formal event, just come as you are. Bring lawn chairs and a tent if you would like to stay the night. Enjoy a fire, food and a cold one.
Please take a moment to view the online Guestbook. Send your condolences or share a memory of Cari with her family & friends.
