Carol Kryscio

December 10, 1942 — January 3, 2018

Carol A. Kryscio, age 75, of Westfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at UW Hospital, after complications of a stroke.

Carol was born on December 10, 1942 in Milwaukee, WI to George and Katherine (Schmidt) Weimer. She was born and raised in Greendale, WI and graduated from Greendale High School.  She married Roger W. Kryscio on September 8th, 1962.

While raising her three kids, she always worked full time, including at Briggs and Stratton and Door Matic in Milwaukee.

Upon retirement, Roger and Carol moved to Westfield, where she was involved with the Harrisville Homemakers and served on the board.

What Carol enjoyed most in life was spending time with her family. She was happiest when her house was full of family and friends, and no one ever left hungry.

She enjoyed music. She loved to sing along to Fleetwood Mac, Eagles and Elton John, where more often than not, she would get the words wrong.

What made Carol famous was her homemade chocolate chip cookies, that she would make multiple times a week for her grandchildren and friends.

Carol also enjoyed traveling, which included trips to Jamaica, Mexico and Tennessee. She was able to enjoy one final trip in October of 2017, where she basked in the sun and enjoyed the buffets onboard the Disney Cruise.

Above all, Carol will be remembered as a caring, generous, and loving person. She touched so many lives with her kindness and treated everyone as though they were her own family.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Roger Kryscio; her three children: Jeff Kryscio(Kelly Grey), Chad (Diane) Kryscio, and Sherri McLaughlin (Keith Kimball); six grandchildren: Lucas Kryscio (fiancé Alex Goemen), Brad Kryscio, Dan Kryscio, Teal Kryscio (Dan Osberg), Hailey and Alex McLaughlin. She is also survived by her siblings, Annette (Raymond) Kleppin, Kenny (Susan) Weimer, Debra (Rick) Stanley, and Delaine Kehl, along with many nieces, nephews and very close family friends.  Carol was preceded in death by her parents George and Katherine Weimer, her brother Gary Weimer, and son-in-law Mike McLaughlin.
