Donald William Janke

Donald William Janke, age 83 of Coloma, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, his wife and son by his side.  Don was born on September 18, 1940, in Portage to William and Clara (Ploetz) Janke.   Don graduated from Westfield High School in1958 and later from Madison Business College.

Don was married to Ina Rae Rux on November 28, 1963.  Together they had two children, Vicki and Brian.  Don and Ina Rae were lifelong residents of Coloma where Don was employed by M&I Bank for 36 years. He was also an active member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Coloma.  Don was a loving father and devoted grandfather.  Upon retirement Don enthusiastically focused his energies on his grandchildren’s many activities.  He also enjoyed traveling and camping.

Don leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Ina Rae; two children, Vicki (Mark) Botner, Mt. Horeb and Brian (Tami) Janke, Westfield; five grandchildren, Cayman Botner, Tyler (Ana Lovas-Janke), Wyatt (Samantha), Logan, and Bryn Janke; two great- grandchildren, John (“JT”), and Paisley Janke.
