Dorothy I. Mularkey

Dorothy I. Mularkey, 95, of Westfield, died on Monday, August 4th, 2025, at Lily Meadows Assisted Living in Westfield.

She was born on April 21, 1930 in Westfield where she was raised and eventually returned to conclude her life’s journey. In her later years, she spent her days alongside the love of her life and best friend—dancing, playing cards, enjoying Frannie May’s, and wholeheartedly supporting Donald in his passion for horses. Their days were filled with joy, laughter, and a love that stood the test of time. Dorothy and Donald truly had a love story deserving to be told, heard, and one many would only dream to have. Their days together were a testament to deep companionship and unwavering devotion.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Donald Mularkey; children, David Caves and Marcia Henkel; stepson, Mike Mularkey; stepdaughter, Theresa Mularkey; stepdaughter-in-law, Beverly Mularkey; 13 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings; her son, Bob Caves; stepsons, Bob Sengbusch, Richard Mularkey, Eldon Mularkey, and Donald Mularkey.

A special thank you—one that truly can't be fully expressed in words—goes to her granddaughters, Ambra, Anna and Nicole as well as her son, David and special nephew, Patrick Mularkey for the joy, companionship, and care they brought to Dorothy, especially in her final years. Their loyalty and commitment to ensuring that both Dorothy and Donald were well cared for is nothing short of admirable and deeply appreciated.

In addition, the family extends heartfelt gratitude to Lily Meadows and Moments Hospice for their compassionate care, support, and presence during such a meaningful time in Dorothy’s life.

THE VISITATION AND MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR DOROTHY ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 23, 2025 AT THE FUNERAL HOME HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

A GRAVESIDE INURNMENT SERVICE WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 23, 2025 AT 12:00 NOON AT OXFORD VILLAGE CEMETERY WITH PASTOR TERRY TEMANSON OFFICIATING.
