Douglas "Doug" Neddo

September 5, 1955 — August 25, 2021

Westfield

Douglas “Doug” James Neddo, 65, of Westfield, WI, passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, August 25th, 2021 surrounded by his family, after succumbing to his battle with cancer. Doug was born on September 5th, 1955 in Oshkosh, WI to James and Virginia (Slife) Neddo and graduated from Oshkosh North High School. He married the love of his life, Linda (Baker) Brue, on September 6th,1986 and the two were married for 35 years. He and Linda raised two children together, Danielle and Cody. He worked most of his adult life in construction, and was a general contractor and owner of Douglas Neddo Construction for 20 years.

Doug had two big passions in life, being outdoors and building things. Most days, depending on the season, you could find him out on the lake fishing, in the woods hunting, camping, riding his ATV, or tending to his bountiful vegetable garden. Doug was a master builder and fixer, even building his and Linda’s home of 33 years in Coloma, WI. He could quickly identify a problem and come up with a clever solution or invention, even if he only had duct tape and some PVC. Doug always found joy in helping others with projects and building things in his garage.

Doug had a strong Chrisitan faith and would spend many days in conversation with God and studying his Bible. In his final days, he was comforted to know that he would be walking with Jesus and reunited with his family in heaven.

Doug is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter, Danielle (Tim Sanders); son, Cody; his sister, Debbie Jooss; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Manweiler and father-in-law, Joseph Manweiler; brother-in-law, David Baker (Misty), and sisters-in-law, Cheryl Kottka (Dean) and Nancy Kopach (Paul); several nieces and nephews, as well as many lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Virginia, and his brother-in-law, Dennis Jooss.

A funeral service for Doug will be held on Saturday, August 28th, 2021 at 11:30 A.M. at New Beginnings Christian Community Church, Westfield, with Pastor Terry Temanson officiating. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service.  A luncheon will follow the service at the church and the burial will immediately follow the lunch at Richford Cemetery for all who wish to attend.
