Edward Eric Pickens

Edward “Ed” Eric Pickens of Westfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 29th 2026 at UW Medical Center in Madison WI, at the age of 68.

Ed was born on November 24th 1957, at Loretto Hospital in Chicago IL, the son of Andrew Jay and Lily (DuVoisin) Pickens. Ed graduated from Pioneer Westfield High School in 1977 and went on to work in HVAC. Ed married Stephani Erboe on September 8th 1979 at St John’s Lutheran Church in Harrisville, Wisconsin. Later on Ed went into the construction field and eventually started his own business. Ed was very talented in his handyman skills and spent many years crafting his carpentry work amongst the community. They settled down in Westfield, Wisconsin and later on were blessed to have their son, Evan.

In his younger years, Ed enjoyed fishing with his friends and scuba diving. Ed was a certified ice and rescue diver. The thing Ed enjoyed most in life was spending time with his son, Evan, whenever he could.

Ed is survived by his wife Stephani (Erboe) Pickens, Son Evan (Sara) and granddaughter Charlotte of Westfield; his brothers Terry, Andrew, Fred, Dennis, Michael (Donna); his sisters Margaret (Kurt), and Marycatherine; and sister-in-law Jill (Chris). Ed is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents Andrew Jay and Lily Pickens; In laws Patricia and Harold Erboe, and other relatives.

Following Ed’s wishes, no service will be held, the immediate family will gather privately.
