Elaine Kruger

Biography Elaine J. Kruger, age 80 of Westfield, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2010 at Montello Care Center. She was born on June 14, 1929 in Harrisville, daughter of the late Gustav and Esther (Klawitter) Persack. Elaine graduated from Westfield High School in 1947. She married Jack Kruger on December 18, 1952 in Harrisville. Elaine worked for many years at Long’s Coffee Cup and at Weaver Auto Part’s of Westfield. She was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church, Harrisville. Elaine enjoyed gardening and was a people person who loved visiting with friends and family.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Jack; two children, Denise (Robert) Labrenz, Westfield and Mark (Teresa) Kruger, Spokane, WA; 5 grandchildren, Traci (Jason) Dee, Andy Labrenz, Janna, Kyle and Erin Kruger; one great grandson, Jacen Dee; sister in law, Grace Kruger, Westfield; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Elaine was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Windus and Hilda Harke; one brother, Donald Persack.
A funeral service for Elaine will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Harrisville with Rev. Chuck Fluegel officiating. Interment will be in Westfield East Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
