Biography Elizabeth "Betty" Jane Nelson, age 88 formerly of Oxford, passed away peacefully on the morning of February 23, 2008 at Miller's Merry Manor in Hobart, Indiana. She was a past member of St. John's Lutheran Church and VFW Post #6003 Auxiliary of Oxford.
Survivors include her daughter, Denise (Paul) Payne, Hobart, IN; two grandsons, Michael and David Buczek and their father, Fred Buczek; her cousin, Norman Gillies, Lansing, MI and many nieces, nephews, other relatives in Chicago, IL and throughout Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Robert "Bob" Oliver Nelson.
A visitation for Betty will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home, Westfield. Interment will be in Oxford Village Cemetery.
