Eugene Meyer

Eugene “Pokey” L. Meyer, age 71 of Portage, formerly of Westfield, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at North View Gardens Assisted Living in Portage. He was born on May 16, 1942 in Westfield to Elmer and Clara (Doms) Meyer. Eugene worked at Westfield Produce Implement Dealer, Westfield for many years as a mechanic.

Survivors include his two sons, Richard and Russell Meyers, both of Friendship; four grandchildren, Chris (Lisa) Henriksen, Allexys, Bryce and Megan Meyers; three sisters; two brothers; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

A funeral service for Eugene will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home, Westfield with Rev. Gary H. Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Westfield East Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
