Hanna Peschel

Biography Hanna A. Peschel, age 84 of Township of Springfield, passed away following a brief illness on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at Divine Savior Extended Care, Portage. She was born on October 3, 1922, Township of Newton, daughter of the late William and Martha (Fausch) Schubert. Hanna married Walter G. Peschel on May 19, 1946 in Richford, he preceded her in death on November 9, 1997. She was a former member of Springfield Lutheran Church and the ladies aid. Hanna was a current member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Westfield and the senior group. Along with her husband, Hanna served as custodian at both churches. She enjoyed baking cut out cookies and apple pie.
Survivors include two children, Kenneth (Denise) Peschel, Township of Springfield and Shirley (Chuck) Johnson, Gleason; seven grandchildren, Scott, Jayson (Missy), Chris (Natashia), Nick and Dianna Peschel, Jeremy and Crystal Grimmenga; five great grandchildren; brother in law, Willard Buchholz; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Peschel; two sisters, Mabel Splittgerber and Esther Buchholz.
A funeral service for Hanna will be held on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Westfield with Vicar Ron Riemer officiating. Interment will be in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Township of Springfield. A visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.
