Harold Mike

Harold A. Mike, age 82 of Township of Newton, passed away with his wife, Alma and daughter, Patti by his side on Friday, February 6, 2009 at his home. He was born on May 22, 1926, Township of Newton, son of the late Albert and Martha (Marotz) Mike. Harold was married to Shirley Hanson from 1951 to 1981. Harold married Alma Weishaar on April 6, 1991 in Westfield. He farmed in the Township of Newton on the family farm for many years and also drove milk truck. Harold was an original and current member of the Township of Newton Volunteer Fire Department. He served as a Fire Warden of Marquette County for over 36 years. Harold enjoyed tractor pulls, collecting toy tractors, refurbishing pedal tractors and operating his snow plowing and lawn mowing business.
Survivors include his wife, Alma; seven children, Christine (Dean) Goldsmith, Wautoma, Stephen (Kim) Mike, Wautoma, Patti Bohnsack, Westfield, Pamela Mike, Middleton, Jeffrey Mike, Madison, Diane Mike, Middleton and Amy (David) Hays, KY; four step children, Mary (Kenon) Smith, Montello, John (Dawn) Weishaar, Westfield, David (Heidi) Weishaar, Westfield and Beth Weishaar, Neenah; 26 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Edwin (Gladys) Mike, Westfield; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Harold was preceded in death by a son, David Mike; three sisters, Esther Rutar, Doris Manweiler and Irene Schrank and two infant brothers.
A funeral service for Harold will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Westfield with Vicar Ron Riemer officiating. Interment will be in Westfield East Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. Agnes Hospice Hope.
