Harvey Schatzke

Harvey E. Schatzke, age 61 of Westfield, formerly of Oshkosh, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 20, 2008. He was born on September 16, 1946, Township of Richford, son of the late Arden and Meta (Manthey) Schatzke. Harvey married Barbara Carlson on April 10, 1965 in Berlin. He worked at Oshkosh Truck until his retirement when he moved to his lake home at Lawrence Lake in Westfield. Harvey enjoyed the outdoors, woodworking, fishing, yard work and especially time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; three children, Mary (Scott) Schaffer, New Mexico, Phillip Schatzke and Troy (Amy) Schatzke, both of Oshkosh; six grandchildren, Kristine and Michael Schaffer, Casey and Logan Schatzke, Kara and Amanda Schatzke; three sisters, Eleanor Paulson, Madison, Elaine Helgerson, McFarland, Arlene (Harve) Leppin, Fairwater; other relatives and friends. Harvey was preceded in death by four brothers, Harley, Marvin, Kermit and Kenneth Schatzke.
A funeral service for Harvey will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home, Westfield with Rev. Robert Fisher officiating. Interment will be in Richford Cemetery, Township of Richford. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
