Joel “Joe” Louis Schneider passed away peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2024 in his home in Oxford, WI at the age of 72. Joel was born on July 17, 1951 in Evanston, IL to Edward and Hilaria (Hennes) Schneider. Joel is preceded in death by his father Edward, mother Hilaria, and brothers Ed and Steve. He is survived by his loving wife Tina, children Brad, Brent and Trish, 9 grandkids, sister Sandra (Grandestaff), twin sister Julie (James) and numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and great grandnieces.
Joel was a Sargent in the Airforce from 1969 to 1974. He worked for the Village of Glenview, IL for 30 years, retiring in 2008. Joel loved to travel and explore the country, riding motorcycles, and camping. Just being outside was so satisfying to him. He loved being with friends and family and helping others. Stating that Joel was a kind and giving man is an understatement. He would not hesitate to help anyone in need. Most of all, Joel loved Jesus. Colossians 3:12 best describes Joel. “Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience…”
