John M. Logic, age 77 of Oxford, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at his home. He was born on July 2, 1948 in South Milwaukee to George and Josephine “Josie” Logic. John graduated from South Milwaukee High School and worked as a heavy machine operator/mechanic for Bane-Nelson, Inc and IUOE Local 139.
John enjoyed spending time with his wife, Wendy, family and friends. His true passion was sharing culinary meals and always sending his guests home with leftovers. John and Wendy always looked forward to their daily drives, listening to Rush Limbaugh or Dan Bongino. Wendy would make the daily drive announcement by saying to John “Let’s take puppy for a ride.” He loved the outdoors with many days sitting on his deck watching birds and seeing the wildlife travel through his property. John had many accomplishments with some being: South Milwaukee Alderman District #2, President of South Milwaukee Common Council, South Milwaukee Mayoral Candidate, Gun and Safety Instructor, lifetime member of the NRA, coach for little league baseball and middle school basketball.
John is survived by his wife, Wendy (nee Beller) Logic; sons, Nathan and Adam (Angel) Logic; grandchildren, Mission and Mercy; brother, James #1 Logic (Ronnie); other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service for John will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home in Westfield with Pastor Terry Temanson officiating. Inurnment will be in Gould Rock Cemetery, Adams County at a later date. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
John will be sadly missed by all who loved and cared for him. Godspeed.
