John Radke

John H. Radke, age 82 of Westfield, passed away peacefully following a brief illness on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Tivoli in Portage. He was born on March 9, 1934 in Madison to Elmer and Linda (Wegmann) Radke. John married June Radtke on May 3, 1958 in Appleton. He graduated from UW Madison and served in the United States Army. John enjoyed training dogs, fishing and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, June; three children, Michael (Laura), Madison, David (Amy), San Francisco, CA and Linda Guyse, East Troy; six grandchildren, Megan and Jenna Radke, Dylan and Elena Radke, Aidan and Olivia Guyse; one brother, Charles (Mary) Radke, Plano, TX; niece, Julie Bailey, IL; other relatives and many friends. John was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service for John will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Portage with Rev. Greg Hovland officiating. Full military honors will follow the service at the church. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton at a later date. A visitation will be held on Friday from 11:30 a.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. John’s Lutheran Church or Tivoli.
