Joseph Fisher Sr

Joseph G. Fisher Sr., age 89 of Montello, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2006 at his home. He was born on June 5, 1917 in Brooklyn, New York, son of the late George and Anna (Blum) Fisher. Joseph lived and worked in Chicago for most of his life. He retired to Montello in 1989 where he loved the outdoors and the people. Joseph was an avid fisherman and he enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.
Survivors include one daughter, Delores (Joseph) Seeler, Lockport, IL; one son, Joseph G. Fisher Jr., Villa Park, IL; son in law, Wally Grady, Chicago, IL; five grandchildren, Laura (Joe) Kalcits, Steven Seeler, Lori (Michael) Mark, Leslie (Michael Wonerowsky) Fisher and Jeffrey (Jessica) Fisher; eight great grandchildren, Linda, Jenna, John, Nicholas, Kayla, Sydney, Ryan and Jeffrey; other relatives and many friends. Joseph was preceded in death by his daughter, Elaine Grady; daughter in law, Lynn Fisher and two sisters.
A graveside service for Joseph will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Oakridge Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
