Joyce Bengsch

Joyce Mary Bengsch, age 73 of Westfield, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at her home. She was born in the Township of Warren on July 29, 1936 to Robert and Bertha Thada. She married Eldon Bengsch on July 21, 1956. Joyce enjoyed driving school bus. She worked several years at Westfield Equipment and Brakebush Brothers and most recently as a custodian for the Westfield School District. Joyce was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Westfield.
Joyce loved baking and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed preparing Sunday dinners for the family, playing cards, collecting turtle memorabilia, reading, word search puzzles and going for gator rides.
She is survived by her husband, Eldon; daughter, Carol (David) Lullo, Montello; son, Robert (Cynthia) Bengsch, Montello; step daughter, Debra Doherty, CA; sister, Louise Thada, Redgranite; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Bradley Sr., Rebecca and Maveny and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Hubert, George, Lawrence, Carl and Roy.
A funeral service for Joyce will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Westfield with Rev. Ron Riemer officiating. Interment will be in Westfield East Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
