Karl D. Zimmerman

Karl D. Zimmerman, age 86 of Coloma, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at Silver Lake Manor in Wautoma. He was born on August 28, 1938 in Black River Falls, WI to Karl and Hazel (Moore) Zimmerman. Karl married Joyce Buse on October 19, 1957 in Stillman Valley, IL. He worked for Barber-Colman for 17 years and Holland Motor Freight as a truck driver for 19 years. Karl and Joyce lived in Machesney Park, IL for 40 years before retiring to Coloma, WI in 2002. He enjoyed playing cards and volunteering his time in Coloma. Karl was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Coloma.

Karl is survived by his son, Shawn (Lori), Gilberts, IL; two grandchildren, Erik and Alison; twin sister, Karen (Larry) Schmidtke; brother, Randy (Chris); other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin and wife, Joyce.

A funeral service for Karl will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home in Westfield with Pastor Alyson Janke officiating. A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Machesney Park, IL.
