Kevin Stahl

November 5, 1965 — October 15, 2023

Coloma

Kevin John Stahl, age 57 of Coloma, WI peacefully passed into the hands of Jesus at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 15, 2023.  Kevin was born in Merrill, WI on November 5, 1965 to Wayne and Nancy (Albrecht) Stahl.  He graduated from Berlin High School and married Marcia Hansen on June 22, 1985 at First Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi.  Together they were blessed with four children.

Kevin went to work for the Bureau of Prisons as a senior correctional officer and retired after a 25 year career.  Later he came out of retirement and started KJS Inspections LLC and also drove truck for JB Hunt, which he thoroughly enjoyed.  He loved spending time with his horses, training, tending to and especially trail riding with his wife.  His other hobbies included hunting, carpentry, reading, singing off key and building puzzles.  Kevin was a very hard worker and talented person; some would call him a jack of all trades.  He even built the family home, kennel and barn on his property primarily by himself in a year’s time while working a full-time and part-time job. Next to home, his favorite place to be was in the Montana mountains.  He was the most generous and humble person you would ever meet with an incredible sense of humor.  Kevin was a kind, wonderful father who would always do anything for those he loved.  He cherished every minute with his children and grandchildren, and he could never get enough of them. As a caring, tender-hearted husband, he treasured and supported his wife completely.  He always strived to give his family the best of everything but also had a strong desire to help others.  His encouraging and fun attitude brought out the best in people, and he will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him.

Kevin leaves behind his wife Marci of 38 years, and four amazing children: Beth (Michael) Kiska, Christopher (Erica), Toby and Sheyanne Stahl as well as six grandchildren: Olivia, Everlee, Silas, Gannon, Isaiah and Raylan.  He also is survived by his parents: Wayne and Nancy Stahl along with his siblings: Greg (Darlene), Brian (Dawn), Steve (Missy) and Laura (Matt) Bondell.  Kevin is further survived by his aunt, Darlene Albrecht and uncle, Roger Albrecht as well as other extended family members.

Kevin is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Scarlett, paternal grandparents: Arthur and Ina (Teele) Stahl, maternal grandparents: Maxwell and Esther (Zoellner) Albrecht, aunt, Dianne Albrecht, uncle, Sherwood Albrecht and uncle Kerry (Willodean) Albrecht
