Kirk Schmidt

Kirk M. Schmidt, age 49 of Westfield, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at his home. He was born on November 27, 1956 in Portage, son of the late Fred and Nina (Waldo) Schmidt. Kirk was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was an avid collector and fisherman. Kirk enjoyed the outdoors with his dog and best buddy, Sam.
Survivors include four brothers, Paul (Leslie) Schmidt, Westfield, Bart (Pat) Schmidt, FL, Mark (Gay) Meinke, Coloma and Reb (Mary) Meinke, Westfield; one sister, Mary Jean Christensen, Westfield; special friend, Kathy Garvin and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald and Michael Meinke.
A memorial service for Kirk will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2006 at 1:00 PM at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home, Westfield with Rev. William Dow officiating. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
