Lela McTier

Lela "Lee" McTier, age 75 of Endeavor, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at her home. She was born on February 20, 1932 in Grannie, KY, daughter of the late Truman and Lillian (Cundiff) Perry. Lee married Lawrence "Bud" McTier on October 16, 1966 in Waukegan, IL. She was a faithful member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Endeavor and the Helping Hand Guild. Lee made an afghan every year for the raffle, including this year. She enjoyed gardening, canning and baking, especially Christmas cookies for her family and she loved to entertain her friends in her home.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence "Bud" McTier; three children, Julie (Fred) Schott, Milwaukee, David McTier, Milwaukee and Debra (Bruce) Cherek, Wind Lake; four grandchildren, Robert and Nicole Schott, Ryan and Stefanie Stalewski; two great grandchildren, Dominic Schott and Jaden Wurst; one brother, Jesse Perry, PA; two sisters, Linda (Bob) Trey, Armstrong Creek and Agnes Jackson, IL; brother and sisters in law, Gerald McTier, Barbara (Virgil) and Alice (Bill) Roller; momma's baby, Gizzie and little guy, Midnight; other relatives and many friends. Lee was preceded in death by her son, Virgil Garonski; four sisters; one brother and momma's first baby, Sassy.
A funeral service for Lee will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. at Trinity United Church of Christ, Endeavor with Rev. Barbara Bolz officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Endeavor. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church. Memorials are appreciated to, Trinity United Church of Christ Helping Hands Guild.
