Lillian Tassler

Biography Lillian Audrey “Chic” Tassler (nee Weiss), age 97 of Westfield, died on February 28, 2012 at Tivoli Nursing Home in Portage. Lillian was born on June 15, 1914 to William and Margaret (Smythe) Weiss in Lawrence (Westfield), WI. She attended the Lawrence Grade School and graduated from Westfield High School. On September 3, 1936 she married Ardon Tassler in Bessemer, MI. They made their home in Westfield. Lillian was a loving mother, a homemaker, gardener and wonderful cook.
Survivors include three sons, Orrin “Smudge” (Judy), Campbellsport, Aaron “Moose” (Janice), Ontario, Jonathan (Vicki), Westfield; three daughters, Lorraine “Bonny” Meyer, Waterford, Karen Tassler, Fort Atkinson, Jacqueline (Karl Meisel) Procknow, Des Moines, IA; 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ardon; two sons, Ardon Jr. and Byron; one sister and two brothers.
Lillian’s wishes were to be cremated. A private family inurnment service will be held at a future date at Westfield East Cemetery.
