MaryLou Gallow

MaryLou Gallow, age 91 of Montello, passed away into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at Harris Villa in Westfield. She was born on September 8, 1930, in Grand Rapids, MI to Byron and Harriet VanderMyde.  MaryLou met her husband Robert in Grand Rapids while in high school and married him in Melbourne, FL after he entered the Air Force in 1950. They have been married for 70 years.

MaryLou was the consummate, loving mother of eight children. She is survived by her husband/spouse Robert, daughters; Christy, Susan and Sarah and sons; Robert Jr. and Ralph. She has gone on to meet her three deceased children, Baby G, Michael Joseph and RuthEllen.

MaryLou loved her family, traveling, puzzles, crosswords, bowling, board games and Trivial Pursuit. She never met a stranger. MaryLou was the fun loving, comfort cooking, ice cream cone making grandmother of twenty-two grandchildren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

MaryLou and Bob lived most of their family lives in Milwaukee, WI. Upon retirement they relocated to Montello, WI where they continued to reside for the following 25 years.

A funeral service for MaryLou will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at New Beginnings Christian Community Church, W7220 County Road E, Westfield, WI 53964 with Pastor Terry Temanson officiating.  A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.  Burial will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery in Milwaukee.  In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, 199 Water St., 11th Floor, New York, NY 10038 or go to www.afsp.org or March of Dimes, 1550 Crystal Dr., Suite 1300, Arlington, VA 22202 or go to www.marchofdimes.org .
