Micah M. Schlobohm, 67, of Stevens Point, WI died unexpectedly on 13 July 2025, in Kansas City, MO where she was attending the General Synod meeting of the United Church of Christ.

Micah was born on 29 September 1957 to Helen (Anderson) and Harold M. Schlobohm, living in Monon, IN. She attended grade school in Westfield, WI; and graduated from Randolph, WI high school in 1975.

While attending Carroll College, Micah went to Nome, AK on a mission trip, fell in love with it and stayed 10 years. During that time she began raising and racing Alaska Huskies, having as many as 36 at one time.

Micah finished college at Metropolitan State University and graduated from United Seminary in New Brighton, MN and was ordained a minister in 1995 and in the United Church of Christ in 2006.

Micah and her partner Claude have been together for 35 years having had a private ceremony in 1990 and a public one in 1995.

Micah served UCC churches as Interim Pastor in Delavan, Hancock, Sparta, Stratford, Tomah, WI Rapids, and Wild Rose United Methodist before becoming a settled pastor for Hancock United Church of Christ and Peace United Church of Christ in Stevens Point the last 3 years of her life. She was active in the wider church serving on ONA and various other committees.

She is survived by husband, Claude Schlobohm, sister Alyson (Terry) Janke, brother-in-law Monty (Sue) Terhune of Omaha, NE; nephews Timothy Janke of New York City, Steven Janke of Westfield, WI, and George (Courtney) Terhune; nieces Margaret (Nathan) Erdman of Hartford, WI and Kathryn Terhune; and great niece Emma Janke and great nephews Ashton Janke and Hunter, Maddox, and Dawson Erdman; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold (Hal) and Helen Schlobohm.

There will be a Service of Witness to the Resurrection on Saturday 19 July 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Peace United Church of Christ, 1756 Dixon St Stevens Point, WI 54481-3641. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to the time of the service. A lunch will immediately follow the service.

Because members of the family have allergies, no living plants or flowers will be allowed in the church. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association, any animal shelter anywhere, or the Wisconsin Conference United Church of Christ ONA Team.
