Mildred Marie Kolpin, age 91 of Westfield, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2015 at Harris Villa of Westfield. Mildred was born August 3, 1924, to Philip and Emma (Dunahee) Adams. She was born in the Town of Murry, Rusk County, Wisconsin. Milly is the sixth of eleven children. Her sibling’s names are John, Lena, Lewis, Marge, Walter, “Milly”, Irene, Rachele, Philip “Bud”, Ethel and Elsie. John, Lena, Lewis, Walter and Philip are deceased. Milly lived in Rusk County all her childhood. She went to Glendale school for grade school and Bruce High School. She graduated from high school in 1942 with a class of 42 students. After high school, Milly moved to Ripon, Wisconsin to work at the knitting works. She met Clinton there. She was introduced to him by relatives. Clint was in the Navy at that time. Clint and Milly married on September 21, 1946, in Ripon. They have been married 69 years. Clint's parents lived in Ripon at the time. Their names were Alfred “Doc” and Beatrice “Bea”. Clint had two sisters, Drusilla Mansmith and Elvera Perr (who are now deceased), who were like sisters to Milly. Milly and Clint worked in Neenah-Menasha before buying the farm in the Town of Harris. They moved to the farm in March 1947. People told them the land wasn't good enough to farm, but they proved them wrong. Clint and Milly did a lot of traveling. Some of the places where they visited were Israel, Germany, Hawaii, Alaska and Canada. Some of Milly's hobbies were Square Dancing, Sewing, Needlework, Homemakers, 4-H sewing instructor, Legion, and Ladies Aid at St. John Lutheran Church in Harrisville.

Survivors include her husband, Clint; six children, Sandee (Roy) Thurber, Muriel, Bradley (Virginia), Beverly (Scott) Seals, Gayle (Robert) Mathes and Annette (Scott) Richmond; 14 grandchildren, 14 (soon to be 15) great grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Milly will be held on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Harrisville with Rev. Blaine Niskanen officiating. Inurnment will be in Harrisville Cemetery, Town of Harris at a later date. A visitation will be held Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service. Memorials would be appreciated to St. John Lutheran Church or Agnesian Hospice Hope.
