Roberta Rodger

Roberta G. Rodger, age 87 of Oxford, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Oakwood Meadows in Madison. She was born on January 25, 1927 in Oxford, WI, daughter of Wesley and Effie (Drew) Gaffney. Roberta married Ray Rodger on April 14, 1951 in Dubuque, IA. She was very active in the First Presbyterian Church in Oxford. Roberta loved her crafts and her regular Monday morning brunch at Maggie Mae’s Café with dear friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Ricki (Dick) Pitzner, Madison; her son, Randy (Mary) Rodger, Madison; four grandchildren, Katie Rodger, Kelly Rodger, Robert (Teresa) Swader and Robin (Mike) Kostelnik all of Madison; six great grandchildren, Cole and Mason Swader, Michael, Hannah, Rachel & Olivia Kostelnik; other relatives and many friends. Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ray and a son, Rodney.

A funeral service for Roberta will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at First Presbyterian Church in Oxford with Pastor Brenda Pulver officiating. Burial will be in Oxford Village Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
