Ronald E. Erdman, age 67, of Westfield, died unexpectedly on Thursday, August 31, 2006 at his home. He was born on March 4, 1939 in the Township of Westfield, son of Ernest and Edna (Bandt) Erdman. Ron married Karen Buchholtz on August 24, 1963 in Westfield. He was an employee of Brakebush Brothers for nearly 50 years, an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Westfield and a past member of the Westfield Volunteer Fire Department. Ron enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting and fishing.
Ron is survived by his wife, Karen; one son, David ( Mary) Erdman, Stoughton; one daughter, Kimberly (Les) Crandall, Montello; three grandchildren Matthew and Carlie Erdman and Haylie Crandall; his mother, Edna Erdman, Montello; father-in-law, Walter Buchholtz, Westfield; four sisters, Wilma (James) Guerten, Franklin, Elvera (Alden) Phelps, Stoughton, Janny (Justice) Spillner, Montello, Connie (Fred) Cavanaugh, Grand Marsh; two sister-in-laws, Kay (Gary) Muehrer, St. Louis, MO and Mary Beth (James) Riley, Madison; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest and mother-in-law Thelma Buchholtz.
A visitation for Ron will be held on Monday, September 4, 2006 from 4 to 7 PM at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home, Westfield and on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Westfield. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday at the church at 11:00 AM with Vicar Ron Riemer officiating. Interment will be in Westfield East Cemetery.
