Ruth Walters

Ruth Marie Walters, age 91 of Montello, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at her home. She was born on April 20, 1923 in the Town of Shields to Clarence and Bertha (Zuelsdorf) Crown. Ruth married Raymond Walters on January 24, 1942 in Fox Lake, WI. Raymond preceded her in death on November 17, 2000. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid of Packwaukee. Ruth farmed in the Town of Packwaukee alongside her husband for many years while raising four children. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, gardening, reading, going to the Packwaukee meal site and visiting with friends and family.

Survivors include three children, Sandra (Robert) Klapper, Kenneth (Carol) Walters and Ginger (Taryn) Hale-Walters, all of Montello; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; one sister, Eunice (Gilbert) Muehlenhaupt, Beaver Dam; one brother, Harley (Liola) Crown, Montello; special friends, Penny Swinney, Sharon Lang and Amber Bain, all of Montello; other relatives and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her mom, Bertha Frank; dad, Clarence Crown; daughter, Peggy Bilberry; sister, Susan King, Brother, Harold Crown and step father, Harold Frank.

A funeral service for Ruth will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 12:00 (noon) at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Packwaukee with Rev. Larry Sheppard officiating. Burial will be in Underhill Cemetery, Town of Packwaukee. A visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Trinity Lutheran Ladies Aid or Heartland Hospice.
