Shirley Mae Shirley

Shirley Mae (Biesterfeld) Shirley, age 84 of Neshkoro, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Our House Senior Living in Wisconsin Dells. She was born on July 16, 1941 to Ethel Faye (Piedlow) & Roy Oliver Biesterfeld in Cook County, City of Elgin, IL. Shirley was Baptized on December 21, 1941 at the Medinah Baptist Church in Medinah, IL and raised in Schaumberg, IL. She married John Edward Shirley Jr. on March 30, 1960 and had three children. Shirley was a stay home mom and babysat while raising her family. After raising her family, she entered the workforce, she worked as a secretary, a CNA, and then a LPN. Shirley was a wonderful and loving person who enjoyed spending time with her family, basking in the sun and making cookies with her grandchildren. She loved to crotchet and making doilies and blankets for her friends and family. Shirley was loved by all.

Shirley is survived by two children, John III (Quinn) Shirley and Jenny (Todd) Virch; seven grandchildren, Christopher (Jen) Virch, Jessica (Dylan) Virch, Sara (Evan) Pickens, Christina Shirley, Joseph (Charbel) Harjung, Samuel (Tessa) and Mary Shirley; 12 great grandchildren; one great great grandson and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Shirley Jr.; daughter, Deborah Billington and other relatives.

Following Shirley’s wishes, no service will be held, the immediate family will gather privately.
