Victoria La'I Hung Clouse

Victoria La’I Hung Clouse, age 90 of Princeton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Villa Pines Nursing Home in Friendship. She was born on June 7, 1935 in Oahu, Hawaii to Harold and Minnie (Lee) Wong.

Vicky grew up in Pearl City and was 6 ½ years old when Pearl Harbor was bombed. Years later she attended Kamehameha school and graduated in 1953. At the age of 18 she met and married Melvin Schrank who was stationed in Hawaii in the U.S. Air Force. Vicky and Melvin moved to Westfield where they raised six children. In 1967 they moved to the Lawrence Lake area. She loved gardening and always maintained several gardens where she enjoyed many birds, butterflies and outdoor Wisconsin. In 1982 she started working at Brakebush Brothers where she had many friends, retiring in 1997.

In 1996 Vicky and Melvin divorced and in 1997 she got remarried to Virgil Clouse of Montello. They continued her love of gardening and the outdoors. They made several trips to Nashville and Branson. The two of them performed in local bands, The Jolly Tunes and The Recycled Teenagers. Virgil passed away in 2007 but Vicky continued her way of life and enjoyed time with her children, grandchildren, daughter-in-law, Sue (Moe) and other family and friends.

Vicky is survived by four children, Lisa (Joe) Michaels, Fond du Lac, Randy (Cheri) Schrank, Westfield, Lana (Pete) Neerdaels, Neenah and Linda (Rory) Anagnostopoulos, Westfield; son-in-law, Tom Harjung, Westfield; eight grandchildren, Richard, Laura, Chris, Kyle, Kayla, Amanda, Elizabeth and Sara; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Harold Wong Jr.; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Richard “Louie” Schrank; daughter, Lori Harjung; two sisters, Pat Chavez and Marcella Denis; first husband, Melvin “Mickey” Schrank and second husband, Virgil Clouse.

A graveside service for Vicky will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Princeton City Cemetery with Father Savio Yerasani officiating.
