Zola Marie Ostergard

Zola Marie Ostergard, age 67 of Westfield, WI, formerly of Corpus Christi, TX, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s in Westfield.  Zola was born on September 1, 1956 in Kingsville, Texas to Edward T. Ostergard and Zola Vera Cecil and lived most of her life in Corpus Christi. She graduated from Richard King High School in 1974.  Zola worked as a secretary for Stewart Title right out of school, and then as a legal secretary for Gary Thomasson Hall & Marks for over 30 years and finished her career at Royston Rayzor Law Firm. She also worked part time for Stripes at the corner of Flour Bluff Dr. and SPID and enjoyed interacting with her many regular customers.

Zola married James William Kurth Sr. on December 5, 1975 and was overjoyed to welcome his son, James William Kurth Jr. into her life.  She had three sons of her own Carl, Keith and Ryan from this marriage.  Being a mother and grandmother was Zola’s greatest joy and accomplishment in life. 

Zola was preceded in death by her son, Ryan Kurth; mother, Zola Vera Ostergard; brother, William Granvel Ostergard and ex-husband, James W. Kurth Sr.  

She is survived by sons, James W. (Katy) Kurth Jr. and their children, Madison and Bry, Carl Kurth, Keith (Mindi) Kurth and their children, Brooklynn and Kail; daughter in law, Jennifer Morris and her daughter, Lorelai; father, Edward T. Ostergard; siblings, Richard (Kim) Ostergard, Peggy (Patrick) Coffey and Andrea (Mark) Banning and the entire Ostergard, Kurth, and Cecil families and friends.

There will be no service at this time.  Zola will be cremated and her remains will be buried next to her son, Ryan at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi, Texas at a later date.
