Beth Haffele

Beth Alene Haffele (Dewar), age 79 of Westfield, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Harris Villa Assisted Living in Westfield.  She was born on October 4, 1939 in Westfield, WI to parents, Vincent “Dubby” and Carmen (Winkler) Dewar. She married Austin Haffele on November 5, 1960, who preceded her in death on May 2 1998.

Beth worked as a nurse for 45 years, many of those in the ICU at Methodist/Meriter Hospital in Madison. She did a variety of volunteer work including girl scouts, hospice, church charity projects and the local senior center. She was an avid crafter who enjoyed knitting and tatting most. Beth was always up for an adventure, loving to camp and travel with family and friends. She was quick to laugh and always eager to help others.

She is survived by her 2 children, Laura Star of Santa Fe, NM and Gary Haffele of Westfield, WI; 5 grandsons, Kye, Ryan, Steven, Andy and Parker and 2 great grandsons. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service for Beth will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church in Westfield with Rev. Joan Frost officiating.  A visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
