Delmar Byers

Delmar Peter Byers, age 79 of Oxford, passed away with family by his side on Monday, October 26, 2020 at his home.  He was born on April 12, 1941 in the Town of New Haven, Adams County, WI to Charlie and Eunice (Larson) Byers.  Delmar married Mary Lou Lloyd on November 14, 1969 in Nashua, Iowa at The Little Brown Church.  He worked for the Marquette County Highway Department for over 25 years.  After his retirement, Delmar mowed lawns and enjoyed ice fishing.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Delmar was a social butterfly who loved being around people and making them smile.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Mary Lou; two children, Trent (Tracie Tischer) and Tara (Steven) Rasmussen; four grandchildren, Brittany and Alyssa (Miquel Velazquez) Byers and Brandon (Jordyn) and Taylor (Haeden Splinter) Rasmussen; two nephews, Charles and Ray Ormond; many other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Margaret Ormond.

A graveside inurnment service will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at Lake View “Crooked Lake” Cemetery, Town of Jackson with Rev. Brenda Pulver officiating.
